Moong Dal
Ingredient
For Seasoning
Procedure
- 1 cup boiled green moong dal
- 2 cups boiled Potatoes
- 3 chopped Tomatoes
- 5 sliced green chillies
- 1 piece finely grated ginger
- 10 to 15 curry leaves
- Small bunch coriander leaves
- Rock salt to taste
- 1 cup Water
For Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Methi seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Olive Oil
Procedure
- In a pan, heat a little olive oil. Wait for the oil to turn hot and then add in the ingredients mentioned under seasoning. Fry the ingredients well for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Now add to the pan the chopped tomatoes, sliced green chillies, grated ginger, curry leaves, salt, coriander leaves and fry on a medium heat till you see the oil separating on the sides of the pan.
- Now to the pan add in the boiled potatoes, cooked moong dal and allow it to cook for another 10 minutes or so. Add in a little water each time you feel that the water is decreasing in the pan.
