Banana Chocolate Breakfast Bowl

Preparation time: 15 minutes

 

Serves 1-2 portions


Ingredients:

Main Ingredients

2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 cup soya yoghurt non-GMO (preferably Greek style)
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon cacao powder

 

Toppings

1 banana sliced

20-30g dark chocolate (at least 70%) broken down into small pieces

3 dates pitted and diced

1 tablespoon hemp seeds (substitute with sunflower seeds if hemp seeds not available)

 

Preparation:

  1. Mix together the main ingredients. Leave in the fridge for about 15 minutes so that the chia seeds can gel up.
  2. In the meantime break down the dark chocolate pieces, slice the banana and chop the dates.
  3. Take the bowl out from the fridge and add on the toppings. Your breakfast bowl is now ready to serve!

 

Where does your protein come from?

It comes from chia seeds, the hemp seeds and the soya yoghurt. All three are good sources of protein. You can also substitute the hemp seeds with sunflower seeds which are a good source of protein as well.
